No family is immune from the heartbreak of suicide.
My husband Sid’s daughter, Rachael Arielle Stacey, left us when she was just 18 years of age. She will forever be in our hearts. We honour her legacy of wanting to help those who struggled the same way that she did. This, she decided, was what she was meant to do. Rachael didn’t have to die. Suicide is preventable. Learn more about Running for Rachael.
Running for Rachael plays an important role in supporting the city-wide work of suicide prevention, hope, help and healing. The community 5k walk or run helps support youth mental health awareness and suicide prevention in local area schools and community.
